Morpeth food & drink festival

The task

To create a campaign to highlight what Morpeth has to offer, focussing initially on the markets following investment in new hardware.

The creative

We created a new strapline for Morpeth, inspired by the feedback from Morpeth Chamber of Trade members that residents and visitors alike possibly don’t appreciate that Morpeth has a lot more to offer than just the park and main high street. There really is MORE in Morpeth! This was carried through to the first campaign using the new statement, a promotion of the markets on offer, a weekly wednesday market and a regular farmers market. We also developed communication material for a food and drink festival, the first of its kind in Morpeth.

The result

The new strapline gained a lot of media interest locally which also helped the overall promotion, and consequently the profile of (and the attendance at) the new-look Morpeth Market has increased, both in terms of traders and visitors.
